An update on few speaker and the topics that they will discuss at Horizon are:

Andrew Bartolini, Chief Research Offices at Ardent Partner will release a report on ‘State of Strategic Sourcing in 2015’.
Strategic sourcing plays a critical role in driving cost sayings. Best in class organizations, can be differentiated by agility in their sourcing processes.
In this session, we will discuss, how organizations are aligning their sourcing strategy with the business strategy to realize better value.

Mike Inman, negotiations instructor and contract negotiator from TableForce would hold up a Negotiations workshop focused to ‘Re-vitalize your Negotiations: The Dynamics of Cost v/s Price’.
If you’re like most people, price is a significant area of focus in your negotiations. While no supply chain professional wants to discover their supplier is making a sizable margin, we believe negotiating price with a supplier equates to a fool’s errand. One that is doomed from the beginning to produce sub-optimal results as well as a strained relationship. Discover a proven better way by joining us for an interactive discussion on the main stage. And if you’re bold enough, sign up for out breakout session where participants will get to put their skills to the test.

Alis S. Hemmingsen, who is a Responsible Procurement Thought Leader and Consultancy Business Owner would discuss on ‘Maintaining a competitive procurement strategy while delivering on sustainability’. Her discussion would cover why Procurement should support the business in delivering more sustainable products, reduce cost and enhance the brand. How can you maintain a competive procurement strategy, make the approach actionable while at the same time delivering on sustainability? Alis Hemmingsen has worked within the procurement field for the last 15 years and has now specialized in developing and implementing actionable approaches to Responsible Procurement. She has written a handful of e-books, worked with a host of international companies and written over 200 articles. She will guide the Horizon 2014 attendees through the essentials of Responsible Procurement and showcase examples of how it can be done.

Lest you start thinking it’s all work no play, the conference has many non-presentation sessions lined up like speed-networking, cocktail reception, luncheons, dinners, golfing, beach party and more. Registrations are open.
