In the fantasy world of “Lord of the Rings” created by JRR Tolkien, Frodo was a hobbit who loved the comfort of his surroundings. Until a day came when he had to leave his contented home and travel to Mt. Doom to destroy the “One Ring” for the greater good. Before he left for his adventure voyage, his uncle Bilbo said “It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.” Frodo could have chosen to stay in the comfort of Shire, refusing to take up a new road and in turn changing the world. But what he did made all the difference in the story. He freed the world of evil and made it a better place to live in.
In the literal sense ‘change’ happens to be the only constant. One can hardly ever find a comfortable spot and dream about a utopian world which will be static. In an evolving environment today and when one is wedged in the midst of a fast paced life, one has to succumb to change.
Change management is also a critical aspect when it comes to organizations and their endeavor to tackle with the changing technological landscape. Change management is the art and science of dealing with change both from the perspective of an organization and as an individual. And it is this aspect that we will explore in our upcoming webinar, “Minding Your P2Ps and Qs: Quality P2P Programs Require a Change Management Focus”
The webinar focuses on:
- The need for effective change management programmes – essentially the softer side of the equation – when it comes to successful implementation of Procure-to-Pay technology.
- How a leading semiconductor manufacturer who rolled out a next generation P2P solution used innovative strategies to deliver effective change management programs and drive behavioral change across multiple user groups and roles, resulting in rapid deployment and user adoption.
